Please check the finished size of every design. Enlarging a low-resolution image does not increase its quality.
Suitable Fabrics and Garments
DTF transfers are commonly used on cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends, denim and many other suitable textiles. They can be applied to light or dark garments, including:

DTF Transfer Application Instructions
- Pre-press the garment for approximately five seconds to remove moisture and flatten the application area.
- Position the DTF transfer on a clean, flat area of the garment.
- Press at approximately 130°C for 10 seconds using firm, even pressure.
- Peel the carrier film according to the instructions supplied with your order.
- Complete a short finishing press for approximately five seconds using a suitable finishing sheet.
Heat presses vary in temperature accuracy and pressure. These settings are a starting point, so test before beginning a full production run and follow any instructions supplied with your order.
Looking After DTF-Printed Garments
- Allow the decoration to settle before its first wash.
- Wash the garment inside out on a cool cycle.
- Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach.
- Avoid high-temperature tumble drying.
- Do not iron directly over the printed design.
- Follow the garment manufacturer’s care label.
DTF Transfer FAQs
Is there a minimum order for DTF transfers?
No. You can order a small transfer sheet, a single gang sheet or larger quantities, depending on the available products.
How many transfers can fit on one gang sheet?
You can place as many designs as will fit within the 580mm × 1000mm printing area. The exact number depends on the finished dimensions and spacing between each design.
What equipment do I need?
You need a suitable heat press capable of providing consistent temperature and even pressure. A domestic iron is not recommended for reliable commercial results.
What is the best file format?
A transparent PNG file at 300 DPI and at the required printing size is recommended. Ensure all backgrounds have been removed and check the artwork carefully before ordering.
Is DTF the same as heat-transfer vinyl?
No. DTF artwork is printed onto transfer film using specialist inks and adhesive powder. Unlike traditional vinyl, detailed full-colour designs do not need to be cut and weeded.
How quickly will my order be ready?
Same-day dispatch or collection may be available for eligible, print-ready orders placed before the displayed cutoff. Turnaround can vary during busy periods, so check the current service status when ordering.
