Professional UV DTF transfers from Washington
DTFX produces UV DTF transfers at our Washington facility for businesses, makers, brands and individuals across Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle and the wider North East.
UV DTF uses printed colour, white ink, varnish and adhesive to create a transfer for many smooth, clean and non-porous hard surfaces. Unlike garment DTF, it does not require a heat press: the design is positioned, rubbed down and transferred using its carrier films.
The result is suitable for detailed logos, small lettering and full-colour artwork where ordinary cut vinyl would require several separate layers.

How to apply a UV DTF transfer
Clean the surface
Remove dust, grease and moisture, then allow the item to dry completely.
Prepare the transfer
Rub firmly across the design so it is properly held by the carrier.
Position and apply
Place carefully, avoiding trapped air, then press and rub across the full design.
Remove the carrier
Peel slowly while checking that every part of the design remains on the product.

Care guidance
Allow the applied transfer to settle before handling or washing the item. For decorated drinkware, hand washing is the cautious care option.
Avoid soaking, abrasive scrubbing and applying transfers to rims or other direct food-contact areas. Do not claim dishwasher or microwave suitability unless the exact finished product has been independently tested for that use.

UV DTF printing FAQs
What is UV DTF printing?
UV DTF is a transfer process for compatible hard surfaces. The printed design is moved from its carrier film to the product without using a heat press.
Is UV DTF the same as garment DTF?
No. Garment DTF is heat pressed onto suitable fabrics. UV DTF uses pressure-sensitive adhesive and is intended for compatible hard surfaces.
Which products can UV DTF be applied to?
Common uses include compatible cups, bottles, containers, packaging, acrylic signs and promotional products. Always test the exact surface because materials and coatings vary.
Can UV DTF be used on silicone or fabric?
UV DTF is not intended for fabric, and silicone or rubber surfaces are generally unsuitable because adhesion can be unreliable.
Are UV DTF decorated cups dishwasher safe?
Hand washing is the cautious recommendation. Do not advertise dishwasher or microwave suitability unless the exact finished product has been independently tested.
