Our transfers are produced using premium Instant DH hot-peel DTF film, professional DTF adhesive powder and vibrant Kodak DTF inks. Your transfers arrive fully cured and ready to apply with a commercial heat press.

How to Order

1. Open the free DTFX Gang Sheet Creator .
2. Select a sheet size of 580mm × 1000mm.
3. Upload your transparent artwork.
4. Resize and arrange each design at the exact size you want it printed.
5. Duplicate designs or use the automatic fill tools to maximise the available space.
6. Check all sizes, image quality and positioning carefully.
7. Download the finished 300 DPI print file.
8. Return to this product, select the required quantity and upload your completed gang sheet.

The quantity ordered must match the number of one-metre gang sheets supplied. For example, a quantity of three requires artwork for three 580mm × 1000mm sheets.

Artwork Requirements

For the best possible printing results, your artwork should be:

• Supplied at the exact required print size
• 300 DPI whenever possible
• Supplied with a transparent background
• Created using clear, high-resolution artwork
• Positioned entirely inside the 580mm × 1000mm print area
• Checked for spelling, sizing, alignment and unwanted backgrounds

Recommended file type: A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background.

We can also accept correctly prepared PDF, AI and other professional artwork files when uploaded directly. All fonts in PDF or Illustrator files should be converted to outlines to prevent missing or substituted fonts.

Please do not upload screenshots, photographs of designs, blurry images, low-resolution website images or files containing unwanted white backgrounds.

Do not mirror your gang sheet. We will prepare the file correctly for DTF production.

Very fine lines, tiny text, soft transparent effects and extremely small details may not reproduce correctly. Artwork quality directly affects the finished print quality.

Important Colour Information

Colours displayed on phones, tablets and computer monitors may differ from the finished printed transfer. This is caused by differences between illuminated RGB screens, artwork colour profiles, printer inks and garment colours.

DTFX will print the file supplied but cannot guarantee an exact screen-to-print or Pantone colour match unless this has been discussed and tested before production.

Always test a transfer before beginning a full production run, particularly when applying to coated fabrics, waterproof garments, performance materials, nylon or dye-heavy polyester.

DTF Heat-Press Instructions

Standard Application

• Temperature: 130°C
• Time: 10 seconds
• Pressure: Medium, even pressure
• Peel: Peel immediately while hot
• Finishing press: Repress for 5 seconds using a suitable protective sheet

High-Dye Polyester and Sensitive Fabrics

For high-dye polyester or heat-sensitive garments, a lower temperature may be required. A suggested starting point is 110°C for 5 seconds, followed by a test peel.

Heat presses and garments vary. These settings are a starting guide, so always carry out a test before completing a full order. DTFX cannot accept responsibility for garments damaged during application or transfers applied using unsuitable heat, time or pressure.

Care Instructions

For the best possible durability after application:

• Allow the finished garment to rest before its first wash
• Wash the garment inside out
• Wash at a maximum of 40°C
• Use a mild detergent
• Do not use bleach
• Avoid fabric softener where possible
• Do not iron directly over the printed design
• Avoid tumble drying where possible

When correctly applied and cared for, premium DTF transfers can provide excellent long-term wash durability.

Artwork and Copyright Responsibility

By uploading artwork, you confirm that you own the artwork or have obtained all permissions, licences and rights required to reproduce, print and distribute it.

Please do not upload protected logos, football badges, designer brands, cartoon characters, celebrity images, music artwork, film or television characters, or other copyrighted material unless you have permission from the rights holder.

DTFX does not verify ownership of uploaded artwork. We may refuse or cancel an order where the artwork may infringe copyright, trademarks, image rights or other third-party rights.

Frequently Asked Questions

How large is one metre of DTF printing?

Each metre provides a print area measuring 580mm wide × 1000mm long.

Is there a limit on the number of designs?

No. You can fit as many designs as practical within the available print area. Leave enough space around each design so you can cut them apart before pressing.

Do you cut the designs individually?

No. Your designs are supplied together as one printed gang sheet for you to cut apart.

Can I use the gang-sheet builder for free?

Yes. Use the free DTFX Gang Sheet Creator to prepare your artwork.

Can you remove the background from my artwork?

Artwork editing and background removal are not included in the promotional printing price. Files should be supplied print-ready with the correct transparent background.

Will a white background be removed automatically?

No. If your uploaded artwork contains a white background, the white area may be printed. Always check transparency before submitting the order.

Are the transfers hot peel?

Yes. We use premium Instant DH hot-peel DTF film, which is designed to be peeled immediately after pressing when the correct application settings are used.

Can DTF transfers be applied with a household iron?

A commercial heat press is strongly recommended. Household irons do not provide consistent temperature and pressure, so results cannot be guaranteed.

Can I collect my order?

Yes. Collection may be available from our Washington, Tyne and Wear premises. Select collection during checkout and wait for confirmation that the order is ready.

Is this suitable for cups, glass or hard surfaces?

No. Standard DTF is designed for suitable fabrics and requires a heat press. For cups, glass, acrylic, metal and other hard surfaces, view our UV DTF printing range .
