Height follows the image proportions. Output is resampled to 300 DPI. Adding pixels does not restore detail.
Cuts regular gaps throughout the artwork, preserving its original colours.
Lower = larger dots. Start at 25–35 LPI and test on your printer.
Full artwork mode only. This is pattern coverage, not a measured ink saving.
Removes matching colours except in protected areas. Samples original image colours, even when the preview shows dots.
Removes isolated ink islands below the area of a circle with this diameter. Does not thicken fine lines or certify printability. Protected areas are excluded.
Drag over a heading, logo or other detail. Solid pixels stay solid; fades still become dots. Up to 20 areas. Rectangles follow the artwork if you change print size.
No protected areas.
Choose Pick colour to sample the original artwork, or Protect a rectangle to keep text and logos solid.
Ready for your artwork.
Transparent background, original colours.
Garment preview is never included.
Solid artwork mode creates geometric gaps at the selected coverage. Fades mode converts transparency into opaque dots, leaving fully opaque shapes intact. Protected rectangles also keep fully opaque pixels intact and bypass colour removal. The minimum-dot filter removes small isolated ink components outside protected areas after halftoning; it cannot guarantee adhesion or minimum line thickness. It cannot recover fades already flattened onto a solid background.
Use the intended final print size: resizing later changes the dot frequency. The effect is calculated at the full export size. Fit view scales it to your screen; 100% shows one output pixel per screen CSS pixel and 200% magnifies it. The original view is resampled to the same output dimensions for comparison. Protected-area outlines and the comparison divider never appear in downloads. Very fine isolated dots may not transfer reliably. Test the artwork, white underbase, powder and pressing settings together before production.
PNG/JPG only. Maximum source image: 40 megapixels. Maximum output: 16 megapixels and 8,192 pixels on either side. Larger jobs need a smaller print width. No automatic cropping or background removal is applied.
Remove any unwanted background before halftoning. White in a JPEG remains printable unless you remove that colour.
Preview on your intended shirt colour. Use colour removal when you want that fabric to replace areas of ink.
Check fine dots in your RIP and on a transfer. Download the PNG, then upload it to the DTFX gangsheet builder.
