Premium Double Matte-Coated DTF Film

Our double matte-coated DTF PET film provides excellent ink application and retention. This helps produce sharp details, strong colours and a consistent finish across your design.

The warm-peel film allows for efficient processing. Following the initial heat press, allow the transfer to cool for approximately 90 seconds before carefully removing the carrier film.

Recommended Heat-Press Instructions

1. Pre-press the garment for approximately 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and creases.
2. Position the A3 DTF transfer on the garment with the printed design facing upwards.
3. Press at 150°C for 15 seconds using firm and even pressure.
4. Remove the garment from the heat press and allow the transfer to cool for approximately 90 seconds.
5. Carefully remove the DTF PET carrier film in one smooth motion.
6. Cover the design with a suitable finishing sheet.
7. Press again at 150°C for 10 seconds to complete the application.

Important: Heat presses can vary in temperature and pressure. These instructions should be treated as a starting guide. Always perform a test press before completing a larger production run.

Artwork Requirements

For the best possible printing results, please supply:

• A high-resolution PNG with a genuinely transparent background
• Artwork created at 300 DPI and at the required printing size
• Alternatively, a print-ready PDF or Adobe Illustrator AI file
• Artwork sized to fit within the maximum 420mm × 297mm printing area
• Clean edges with unwanted backgrounds and stray pixels removed
• Text converted to outlines when supplying vector artwork

Please note: Any background visible in the uploaded artwork may be printed. If you do not want a white box around your design, please upload a PNG with a transparent background.

Your design can be smaller than A3 if required. Please provide the exact finished width or height when ordering. Artwork must remain within the maximum A3 printing area.

Artwork Checking

Customers are responsible for checking artwork dimensions, image quality, spelling, colours and transparency before submitting an order. Artwork is normally printed as supplied unless an artwork or design service has been purchased separately.

Very small text, extremely fine lines, low-resolution images, soft transparent shadows and semi-transparent pixels may not reproduce as expected.

Garment Care Instructions

To help protect the finished print:

• Wait at least 24 hours before the first wash
• Wash the garment inside out
• Wash at a maximum of 30°C unless the garment label states otherwise
• Use a mild detergent
• Do not use bleach
• Avoid fabric softener where possible
• Do not iron directly over the printed design
• Avoid tumble drying or use a low setting if necessary

Important Application Information

A professional heat press is strongly recommended. Household irons and small handheld craft presses may provide inconsistent temperature and pressure, particularly across a large A3 transfer.

The customer is responsible for confirming that the selected garment is suitable for heat application. DTFX cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect temperature, pressure, pressing time, garment coatings or failure to follow the application instructions.

Can the A3 transfer be printed in portrait or landscape?

Yes. Your artwork can be supplied in portrait or landscape orientation, provided it remains within the maximum A3 printing area.

Can you print white in my design?

Yes. DTF printing uses white ink, allowing white details and vibrant colours to remain visible on dark garments.

Do I need to mirror my artwork?

No. Upload the design in the correct viewing direction. We will prepare it for DTF production.

Can I place several designs on one A3 sheet?

Can I apply the transfer with a household iron?

A professional heat press is recommended, especially for A3 transfers. A large design requires consistent heat and pressure across the entire printing area, which a household iron may not provide.

Can DTF transfers be applied to dark garments?

Yes. The printed white underbase helps the colours remain bright and clearly visible on both light and dark fabrics.
