Premium Coated DTF Film

The double matte-coated printable surface provides excellent ink application and retention, helping produce sharp detail, vibrant colours and a consistent transfer finish.

This product uses warm-peel DTF PET film. Following the first heat press, the transfer should be allowed to cool for approximately 90 seconds before the film is carefully removed.

Recommended Heat-Press Instructions

1. Pre-press the garment for approximately 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and creases.
2. Position the DTF transfer on the garment with the printed design facing upwards.
3. Press at 150°C for 15 seconds using firm, even pressure.
4. Remove the garment from the press and allow the transfer to cool for approximately 90 seconds.
5. Carefully peel away the DTF PET film in one smooth motion.
6. Cover the design with a suitable finishing sheet.
7. Press again at 150°C for 10 seconds to complete the application.

Important: Heat presses can vary in temperature and pressure. These settings should be treated as a starting guide. Always perform a test press before beginning a larger production run.

Artwork Requirements

For the best printing results, please supply:

• A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background
• 300 DPI artwork at the required printing size where possible
• Alternatively, a print-ready PDF or Adobe Illustrator AI file
• Artwork sized to fit within the maximum A4 area of 297mm × 210mm
• Clean edges with unwanted backgrounds and stray pixels removed
• Text converted to outlines when supplying vector artwork

Please note: Any background visible in your artwork may be printed. If you do not want a white box around your design, please upload a PNG with a genuinely transparent background.

Available Transfer Size

• A4: up to 297mm × 210mm

Your artwork will be printed at the size selected or supplied, provided it fits within the available A4 printing area. We will not automatically enlarge low-resolution artwork because doing so may reduce print quality.

Artwork Checking

Customers are responsible for checking spelling, dimensions, image quality, colours and transparency before submitting artwork. Artwork is normally printed as supplied unless an artwork or design service has been purchased separately.

Very small text, extremely fine lines, soft transparent shadows and low-resolution images may not reproduce as expected. If you are unsure whether your file is suitable, please contact DTFX before ordering.

Garment Care Instructions

To help protect the finished transfer:

• Wait at least 24 hours before the first wash
• Wash the garment inside out
• Wash at a maximum of 30°C unless the garment states otherwise
• Use a mild detergent
• Do not use bleach
• Avoid fabric softener where possible
• Do not iron directly over the printed design
• Avoid tumble drying or use a low setting if necessary

Important Application Information

A professional heat press is strongly recommended. Domestic irons and handheld craft presses may provide inconsistent temperature and pressure, which can affect adhesion and durability.

The customer is responsible for confirming that the selected garment is suitable for heat application. DTFX cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect temperature, pressure, pressing time, garment coatings or failure to follow the application instructions.

What is the maximum print size?

The maximum printing area is A4, measuring up to 297mm × 210mm.

Can you print a white logo?

Yes. DTF printing uses white ink, allowing white and full-colour designs to be applied to both light and dark garments.

Do I need to mirror my artwork?

No. Upload your design in the correct viewing direction. We will prepare it for DTF production.

Can I upload more than one logo?

You can arrange multiple designs within the A4 area, but the artwork must be supplied as one print-ready file. For several designs or larger quantities, consider using our DTF Gang Sheet Creator.

Can DTF transfers be applied to dark garments?

Yes. The printed white underbase allows the colours to remain bright and visible on dark fabrics.

Can I use a household iron?

A professional heat press is recommended because it provides consistent heat and pressure across the entire transfer. We cannot guarantee results obtained with a household iron.

Can you check my artwork?

Basic production suitability may be reviewed, but customers remain responsible for the artwork supplied. Please contact us before ordering if you require artwork assistance, background removal or design changes.
